there are pants waiting for me at both nordstroms and saks. tomorrow i venture into the city complex of denver to pick up a pair of theory pants and perhaps buy some beautiful shoes from hugo boss. in the mean time, i am eating bowls of oatmeal and all things pulverized as my wisdom teeth have up and left me.

next month, i may go out to new york to visit lily. then we will get married. and move to san francisco. i don't actually want to move, but i'm in a relationship now and have no choice. i will fund all of her purchases including her love and penchant for buying expensive things. especially sunglasses. and new shoes. and dresses by marc jacobs. because i love her oh so much. yes i do.

i have been having a very pleasant summer with michael and lindsay and am sad to see them both leave me at the end of the summer. clearly, they do not love me as much as i love them. boo. and to think i shared many questionable moments dancing to gay club music with michael only to have him abandon me for the orient. and lindsay is going to funcie. but really, what fun is there without me? clearly, none.

yesterday there was a man standing outside whole foods talking on his cellphone. as a fire truck roared by, he plugged his ear with his finger and yelled into his phone, "bananas? lettuce?"

(this entry was written by lily, as you could have already guessed. ethan doesn't like to use apostrophes.)

I dunno if it will be a good semester or not, but I am trying to get as close to straight A's as I can. Also gonna start my new workout plan version 1.0 tomorrow, and see how it works. Mike wants to start up racket ball again too, and yesterday we got me my first discs and went out and played disc golf for a couple hours in the rain. was fun. Today Lily moves into her dorm and I wish her a safe trip and a smooth move in, and I hope she has fun! I miss you =X

Today I woke up at 7:30 to go help the kyudo team out for the last day of freshman week. For the first 2 hours some of us hung around the dojo and just practiced, so show the visiting freshmen what normal activity in the dojo is like. And around 1 we switched up, and the people down in the dojo went up to campus to wander around and hand out flyers, trying to recruit people. For this event it was deemed OK for me to borrow a set of hakama and dress up as a full member of the team, it was fun, and I got a few strange looks heh. Mostly I managed to hand out flyers to gaijin, me being one and all, but I did snag a few japanese people as well. But hunting down ichinensei in that mess of people was a tough job.

Thought I would do a photo update, sorta kinda.. Its a nice day out, warm, sunny, and our 6 month anniversery... Time goes by so quick... We are going to Osaka tomorrow for 3 days via Shinkansen, and then Oren will be out here a couple days after we get back, and then Devin, and then classes...shall be a rapid decline of our slothness.

In kyudo news, team practices have started again (Devin you are gonna be missing about a month of practice), and I will be asking someone to take me to get my arrows soon after I get back from Osaka, and I am also gonna try to move up to a stronger bow (mine is so weak I have trouble actually making it to the targets, and have to tilt back a little, which makes it hard to aim, so yea...hopefully I can have better accuracy IF I can pull a stronger bow.

Hmm Howl's Moving Castle the movie, and Howl's Moving Castle the original book.....two totally different stories. After seeing the movie I felt like it ended pretty lame, but the rest seemed all right, so I got the original book to see how the author ended it, and so after reading just the end I realized not only is it different, but I did not recognize most of the people IN the ending, so I read the entire book. And wow was it different. Character's genders, ages, sizes, country of origin, demonic metomorphosis....all wrong in the movie. And there wasn't even a war going on! bah....other things too but they are spoilers, so I wont post them, but still! Come on, a LITTLE sticking to the original story would have been nice...and made for a better movie.

* 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
* 2 tablespoon sugar
* 2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 tea vegetable oil
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 cups soymilk
* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix dry ingredients in a fairly large bowl, then make a well in the middle and pour in the soymilk. Fold the ingredients together until everything is moistened by the soymilk. Then fold in the oil. Lightly oil a pan and, using a spoon drop batter into the pan. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side. Enjoy with warm maple syrup.

We made pancakes for dinner tonight. And the recipe was a little gross at first cause we forgot to mix the dry ingredients together first. They had these pockets of salt and flour randomly dispersed through the pancake. Not the tastiest thing in the world. But then we made a second batch and shaped them smaller than before. We also made one that looked like a demented Mickey with down syndrome that had a run in with a machine gun...the buisness end).

(and before you ask we dont know what that black thing is either, it wasnt there when we ate them)

Well third day in a row I went to kyudo was I guess a success...but left me feeling quite dead on my feet. Had a 4 hour team practice today, during which they decided it would be fun to include me in their little mini tournament and have me shoot....yes the first time I shoot a real arrow from the dojo was infront of like 15 people all shouting at me. I didnt hit the target once of course...but I did hit the roof above the targets =P And several arrows, about half or so actually hit the embankment that the targets are in! So atleast I am making it there now. Wanna get someone to take me to buy my own arrows soon so I don't have to keep mooching off of other people. Also I would like to get my own glove, but thats 150 dollars or so...but it would be nice not to use one that feels like wearing a slightly loose fitting rock.

And Devin, Furuta-san asked about you. I said you were in the US until next month around the end.

Today went well. Worked with a guy who I've not worked with before and he helped with some issues I hadn't been called on before, like the angle of my rear arm and how far my front hand rotates when i start the draw. At the end of the session he also commented that soon I will be able to shoot on the actual range, not just on target dummies out front.

Tomorrow is a team practice again. 10 AM....I don't want to get up that early *cry* But I will...because I must become able to shoot and get cool uniform!
